We offer two products for use in process development and production in the area of depth filtration. The PendoTECH Filter Screening System can be used for process optimization of filtration processes such as a filtration train used for cell harvest after a bioreactor and/or centrifuge. The PendoTECH Depth Filtration System can be used for process control and process monitoring of a depth filtration process at any scale.

                   
   
Filter Screening System
PRODUCT DATA SHEET

Our Filter Screening System is for filtration sizing and optimization studies, up to 4 filter trains with 3 PendoTECH Pressure Sensors each (12 total) can be monitored so multiple filters can be compared simultaneously for comparative studies.

  • For normal flow filtration (NFF)
  • For filter sizing and optimization studies
  • Volume throughput studies with constant flow or constant pressure
  • Process interaction via graphical user interface (GUI) with real-time trending feature
  • Data acquisition of process data and

  • Ability to enter time-stamped notes

  • Operate up to 4 trains in parallel with up to 3 pressure measurements per train with total flow by pump accumulation or connection of scales to the back panel

    independent control of each pump
  • Alarms for high pressure for each train and high delta pressures for each filter that will shut the pump off
  • Real time calculation of flux and permeability based
    on entered filter area within GUI
  • Ability to view a wide variety of trends real-time with instant export feature of current trend view
  • Process data acquisition (including filter, train names and key experiment information and notes) into .CSV
    file that opens directly into Excel
  • Pressure sensors with luer fittings connect directly
    to filter test devices or flow through sensors
  • Expansion option for input to control system of two analytical measurements per train
    (via analog 4-20mA /0-10volt signal) such as the PendoTECH Turbidity Flow Cell

PendoTECH Depth Filtration System

For scale up of a normal flow filtration process, a PendoTECH Process Control System can be used for process monitoring, control, and data acquisition for a complete process unit operation. Inputs include up to 3 pressure sensors per train (PendoTECH Single Use Pressure Sensors are available with upto a 1 inch flow inner diameter to handle high flow rates) with high pressure alarm monitoring. Other inputs include weight and analytical sensors with a 4-20mA output such as the PendoTECH Turbidity Flow Cell and conductivity with different flow meter options. Any pump with an analog 4-20mA speed control input and remote on/off capability can be integrated to the system. The non-invasive air detector on the inlet line can be used to stop the pump top prevent air from being pumped into the filters.

       

 

Depth Filtration / Cell Removal with PressureMAT

For monitoring of only process pressure, the PressureMAT with the PendoTECH sensors can be used for this application. There is a PressureMAT-PLUS also available with 3 pressure inputs and 1 flow meter input. A unit can also be customized for input of the PendoTECH Turbidity Flow Cell.
